This Privacy Policy explains how Jetseto ("Jetseto", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use jetseto.com, leader.jetseto.com and related services (the "Platform"). Jetseto is a marketplace that connects travellers with independent tour leaders.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account information: your name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication system; we never see them in plain text.
Profile information: information you choose to add to your profile, such as a photo, languages, bio or preferences.
Tour leader information: if you apply to become a tour leader, the details of your services, prices, availability, and the documents you upload so we can verify your identity and qualifications.
Bookings and messages: details of the services you book or offer, including dates, number of participants and selected options.
Reviews: ratings and reviews you write about services or tour leaders.

Information from Google Sign-In

If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares with us your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We use this only to create or sign you in to your Jetseto account. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any other Google data.

Information collected automatically

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and timestamps, recorded in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and remember your session. See section 6.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

create and manage your account and sign you in;
show tour leaders and their services to travellers, and let travellers book them;
verify tour leaders before they can offer services;
send transactional emails, such as email verification, password reset and booking updates;
display reviews and ratings;
protect the Platform against fraud, spam and abuse (for example, rate limiting and bot protection);
comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use data received from Google for advertising.

3. What other users can see

Tour leaders: your public profile (name, photo, bio, languages, services, prices and reviews) is visible to visitors of the Platform. Identity and verification documents are never shown publicly.
Travellers: when you book a service, the tour leader receives the information needed to deliver it (for example, your name and booking details).
Reviews you write are shown publicly with your display name.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Platform, and only as needed for that purpose:

Hetzner Online — server hosting in the European Union;
Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, network security and bot protection (Turnstile);
Google — Sign in with Google, if you choose to use it;
Our email hosting provider — delivery of transactional emails.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or Jetseto.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

6. Cookies

We use only cookies that are necessary for the Platform to work:

Session cookies that keep you signed in;
Security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery;
Authentication cookies set by our sign-in service (auth.jetseto.com);
Bot protection cookies set by Cloudflare.

We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
correct inaccurate data;
delete your account and personal data;
receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
object to or restrict certain processing;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account. We will respond within 30 days. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Jetseto's access at any time from your Google Account settings (Security → Third-party apps & services).

8. Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and private storage for verification documents. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a breach where required by law.

9. Children

The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our servers are located in the European Union. Some service providers may process data in other countries; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or on the Platform before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last changed.
